Danna Walker | Founder, Director
Danna is an architect and Director of Built By Us, a social enterprise which connects diverse talent to construction businesses. Her career spans over 25 years in the construction and built environment sector, and has encompassed a variety of roles from shop floor electrician, to Architect and strategic projects lead at the Construction Industry Council.
A passionate advocate for the industry, the common thread throughout her career has been a desire to improve the built environment and the industry by making a tangible difference, addressing the challenges of skills development and improved diversity and inclusion.
As an architect, Danna specialised in regeneration, housing, educational projects and community engagement. She is a mentoring champion and founded the innovative Fluid Diversity Mentoring Programme, designed to provide support for practitioners seeking career progression. She chaired the RIBA’s equality, diversity and inclusion advisory group Architects for Change (AfC) and is honoured to have been named a finalist in the Precious Awards 2015.
Danna currently serves as an elected board member of the Architects Registration Board (ARB), is a member of the Built Environment and Professional Education (BEPE) Board, and a Trustee of the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust.
Ignacio Delcastillo | Advisory Board
Ignacio is a Mechanical Engineer now acting as a Process Business Architect in Deutsche Bank who in his spare time partners with Social Entrepreneurs to share his industry experience while enhancing his personal development.
Ignacio believes that we are in a technological world were anything is possible, but there is an increasing risk of exclusion in our local communities.
After a decade working in the manufacturing industry and the financial sector, Ignacio knows how to align operations with business strategy in an efficient way. He tries to be aware of new ways of doing things and he is constantly tempted to start his own business adventure...
He is an active supporter of Deutsche Bank CSR area, mentoring young entrepreneurs and as a lecturer in Hatch Incubator Programme.
Ignacio holds an MBA from Cranfield University and a MEng in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Publica de Navarra. He has been also trained as a Sig Sigma Black Belt and he is an expert in lean Manufacturing.
Anne Shepperd | Advisory Board
Anne is an Architect with over 20 years’ experience in housing, regeneration and masterplanning. She has recently set up her own practice Sketch Architecture, specialising in bespoke solutions for residential architecture. Her previous position was as Associate Director with Snell David Architects. In 2013 she was awarded a commendation at the Wandsworth Council Design Awards.
She currently divides her time between her passion for architecture, and working as a Project Manager with responsibility for Business Development for Microcab a business focussing on the development of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, and solutions for air quality in cities.
