OUR PEOPLE

Danna Walker FOUNDER AND CEO

BA Hons, Dip Arch RIBA, FRSA

Danna Walker is an award-winning electrician, architect, advocate for mentoring, founder and pioneering Black leader.

Danna sees the potential in every person to create change - for themselves, their communities and the world. To help people to make those changes possible, Danna founded Built By Us.

When she’s not mentoring, speaking or guiding workshops, Danna is dreaming of the Southbank Centre and the occasional beauty of brutalism whilst drinking a fourth mug of builder’s tea (soya milk, no sugar).

Delores Clarke, DIRECTOR

Delores’ career in construction started over 20 years ago in carpentry and joinery and quickly progressed to her specialising in Customer Care Management, working for social housing providers, main contractors and developers. She is currently an independent Property Inspector and has worked for a number of main contractors and developers including Vision Modular Systems Ltd, Ballymore, Kier and Osborne.

Her passion for solving complex structural issues led Delores to undertake a qualification in thermography.

When she is not gaining specialist career qualifications, Delores loves to study insects (an interest that was sparked by plaster beetles, which she came across in her work) and she is now looking forward to starting a course in Entomology.
