Are You Ready to Create a Safer, More Inclusive Workplace?
Understanding the Challenge
Workplace harassment remains a serious issue, often overlooked or unreported, leading to environments that undermine employees' well-being, confidence, and career growth.
Many individuals who experience harassment feel unheard or unsupported, as their concerns may be dismissed or inadequately addressed. This lack of action forces some to leave their roles, disrupting careers and workplace culture.
Certain industries, including construction and architecture, are particularly affected. A recent Architects Registration Board (ARB) study on workplace culture revealed:
A third of professionals lack confidence in reporting misconduct they have witnessed or experienced.
19%of all professionals and 38% of female professionals has experienced unwelcome sexual comments.
12% of all professionals and 24% of female professionals – one in four – has experienced unwelcome sexual advances.
Professionals with disabilities are also more likely to have experienced unwelcome sexual comments (24% vs 19% with no disability) and unwelcome sexual advances (19% vs 12% with no disability).
These findings reinforce the urgent need for workplaces to nurture respect, safety, and inclusion cultures where everyone feels valued, heard, and supported.
