Archimake | Architecture Workshop Assistant
Archimake runs fun architecture and design workshops for children in primary and secondary schools as extra curricular workshops.
Due to an increase in class sizes this term we are looking for up to 4 new workshop assistants to join our Monday, Wednesday and Thursday workshops in Camden, Notting Hill, Hampstead and Bromley. Suitable applicants need to be available for a workshop at least 1 of these days and be able to reach at least one of these locations.
We teach architectural drawing and model making and introduce architecture and design precedents. The children end the 10 workshops by giving a short presentation of their 10 week project and final design proposals to the group which may include teachers, parents or invited guests. Our workshops run on weekdays between 3.45-5.30pm. We teach for 10 weeks a term and each workshop is once a week for 11 weeks, with a 1 week break between weeks 5 and 6.
Suitable applicants need to meet the following criteria:
Enjoy working with children
Have completed a degree or MA in architecture or design/engineering related subject
Love making models
Like to inspire others
Can easily get to one of the locations listed
Are available between 3.45-5pm on one of the days listed above.
Be willing to be DBS certified.
