David Kohn Architects provides exciting opportunities for people at all levels, working across a diverse range of innovative projects for leading clients who value design. The exceptional work of team members has repeatedly been recognised in the industry through winning RIBA Journal Rising Star Awards in 2018, 2020 and 2022.
We are currently looking to recruit a Part 1 Architectural Assistant to work on a number of high-profile and large-scale projects at different stages. Vectorworks and Revit experience is desirable.
David Kohn Architects was established in 2007 and has gained an international reputation for the quality of its design. We recently won RIBA House of the Year and have a number of exciting projects that are in construction, planning and at early feasibility stages. The small-scale work of the team feeds into the practices’ work on major projects which currently includes a mixed used building in Birmingham, an architecture faculty in Belgium, and a university campus in Oxford. Supporting our clients in the drive towards carbon negative futures is an important part of our current and future work.
Role
Key responsibilities
Preparing drawings and material for publication;
Making physical models;
Maintaining our digital archives;
Assisting project leads with design development and delivery;
Assisting the Studio Manager with administrative and marketing tasks.
Updating web content & social media.
Skills and Abilities
Excellent presentation and drafting skills;
Excellent model-making skills;
Organised and able to independently manage different work streams;
Demonstrates ability to quickly and proficiently understand and absorb new information;
Proficient in Vectorworks, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office.
Knowledge of Revit and/or Endscape are an advantage but not required.
While not a prerequisite, having an interest in the work and ethos of David Kohn Architects as a design-led practice is highly desirable.
